Zuu Nights: Crafting the Look for Darlington's Newest Cocktail Bar

Armitage & Wilson had the pleasure of supplying bespoke fixed seating for the brand-new Bar Zuu in Darlington—a sleek cocktail bar and eatery that has since become one of the town’s most vibrant evening destinations.

From the moment local media announced the opening on 6 December 2024, Bar Zuu was positioned as the latest must-visit venue for cocktails, food and nightlife in the town centre. A few weeks later, Instagram lit up with coverage of Bar Zuu’s VIP launch party, capturing details like “killer cocktails, amazing staff, banging tunes and a vibe that was next level”. Clearly, the venue struck a chord with Darlington’s social scene from day one.

We were proud to be entrusted with the manufacture and installation of all the fixed seating throughout the bar—and what a transformation. Collaborating closely with the client, we created custom booths that suit the venue’s lively, modern aesthetic, while delivering durability for a high-energy bar setting.

Each seating unit was precision-built in our workshop to match the venue’s layout perfectly. Upholstered in robust, commercial-grade materials, the booths offer a comfortable yet practical seating experience that fits Bar Zuu’s energetic atmosphere. Arranged across the space, the seating zones support everything from intimate gatherings to larger social groups, blending flexibility with cohesion.

Installation was managed by our in-house team, working hand-in-hand with the fit‑out contractors to ensure seamless delivery in line with Bar Zuu’s launch schedule. The finished seating not only looks great but supports the dynamic operational flow of a bustling cocktail bar.
