Our Visit to HIX LONDON 2024: Connecting, Discovering, and Getting Inspired

Updated: Feb 19

In November 2024, we had the pleasure of attending the HIX LONDON hotel interiors exhibition at the Business Design Centre in London. This annual event brings together the hospitality design industry for two days of networking, insightful talks, and an exhibition featuring some of the most exciting brands in interior design. It was a fantastic opportunity to meet face-to-face with suppliers, contractors, and industry professionals, strengthening relationships and gaining fresh inspiration for the year ahead.

Strengthening Connections & Exploring Innovations

Our team, including Vince and Karen, made the most of the chance to shake hands and catch up in person with suppliers and contractors we work with week in and week out. While we’re often in touch remotely, there’s nothing quite like having real conversations and seeing new products up close.

Beyond reconnecting with familiar faces, we also had the opportunity to engage with new suppliers and discover innovations in upholstery and furniture design that will help shape the industry in 2025. With sustainability and craftsmanship at the forefront of discussions, it was great to see forward-thinking approaches to materials, textures, and finishes.

A special mention to Stevie and Karen from Yarwoods, David from Sekers, and our good friends from Roman Ltd - it was a pleasure catching up and exchanging ideas!

A Sense of Place: HIX 2024’s Theme

This year’s event focused on how hotels connect with their surroundings, whether that’s through architecture, interior design, or guest experience. The idea of ‘A Sense of Place’ was woven throughout the exhibition, with brands showcasing designs that reflect local character, heritage, and culture. As we continue to work on hospitality projects, it’s clear that creating a unique, location-inspired experience is more important than ever.

A Taste of London’s Festive Spirit

Of course, no trip to London would be complete without taking in a bit of the city’s magic. We made sure to grab a bite to eat while soaking up the festive atmosphere, with London already in full holiday mode. Twinkling lights, beautifully decorated shop windows, and a crisp winter chill made for the perfect setting to round off an inspiring visit.

We left HIX LONDON 2024 full of ideas, excited about the future of hotel interiors, and looking forward to seeing these trends come to life in our upcoming projects. Until next time!
