High Stakes in Style: Our Bespoke Furniture for Tanzibar at Aspers Casino

In 2021, Armitage & Wilson were commissioned to manufacture a bold collection of bespoke furniture for the stylish Tanzibar bar at Aspers Casino, located within Westfield Stratford City—one of the largest and most dynamic casino spaces in the UK.

The brief was vibrant and layered: to create a variety of seating and table pieces that would reflect the venue’s luxe, high-energy interior while offering exceptional comfort and durability for heavy-use hospitality settings.

We produced a wide mix of bar stools, lounge chairs, sofas, and tables, all crafted with rich textures and striking finishes. Key pieces included deep buttoned sofas, accent armchairs upholstered in jewel-toned velvets and patterned fabrics, and bar stools featuring a mix of leather and soft upholstery—each designed to complement the venue’s eclectic, global-inspired décor.

The furniture was built with attention to detail: turned timber legs, contrasting piping, and a mix of bold upholstery tones such as burnt orange, teal, and rust gave each item visual impact and individuality. 

Working alongside the design team, we delivered all items to a tight schedule in coordination with the overall fit-out programme. The finished space combines luxury, texture and personality—offering guests a unique environment to relax and enjoy the buzz of one of London’s premier entertainment venues.
